"Thank you, Sean, for laying a deep foundation, skills, appreciation and love for music in both my children: Tarek and Nadia! Sean lovingly taught piano to both kids, each beginning at an early age of 5 years old. On Saturday mornings, when they had weekly lessons with Sean, their period with him was always full of laughter, bright energy, song, storytelling and skill building. Sean always knew how to keep the kids engaged and happy while learning. I see such value in how each child learned to read music at the same time they began to read words, sentences and stories. With Sean, they learned notes, melodies, and how to communicate feelings through the beautiful piano instrument. Tarek and Nadia always looked forward to their time with Sean. Sean has a gentle, kind, consistent and caring way with his students. Sean offered opportunities to perform and embedded preparation skills in his students for these events that I value as priceless experience for my children. When performance time came, Sean was by their side supporting, encouraging and making sure they succeeded. These events were full of community and joy! Thank you, Sean, for this and all you give students as a musician, teacher and forever friend. We continued lessons with Sean until we moved towns away. Both kids continued piano lessons elsewhere and to this day, 8+ years later, music lessons continue to be an important, respected part of both their lives. Much of this, I know, is due to their early introduction to piano with Sean. Thank you for the gift of music, Sean!"

"I am a 'mature student' coming back to jazz piano after many years away. Sean was my first teacher as I was trying to re-learn my jazz chops. Not only did he help me shake the rust off, he also pointed me in some new directions in harmony and improvisation that I continue to use years later!”

“I have [a] photo that I really like from a recital Sebastian had with you in 2017. It nicely captures your care and attention as a mentor/teacher in the context of his performance (at least to my eyes)!”
